
A Collaborative Heritage Creative Event and Project with HostNation in November 2024. The activity integrated an artists photo creation and artistic workshop set-up in a shared community gathering event at Helix Arts, allowing international communities to create new memories with loved ones. The project explored heritage documentation whilst addressing the impact of displacement, offering participants a chance to receive a professional printed photograph as a keepsake from the event, preserving the experiences diverse people through joy and celebration. The event included creative activities with a personalised photo frame-making activity encouraging multi-national and cross-cultural engagement. HostNation brought their diverse community, benefitting from the event by strengthening of community ties and giving opportunities to share new memories, all while helping people practice their English. Students were invited from the Tyne Metropolitan College ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) department, benefitting the wider communities; offering HostNation the time to meet new potential service users and strengthening community engagement for the students.
