Creative Community Lunch at Helix Arts

A Collaborative Heritage Creative Event and Project with HostNation. The activity integrated an artists photo creation and artistic workshop set-up in a shared community gathering event at Helix Arts, allowing international communities to create new memories with loved ones.

South Shields Parade – The Cultural Spring

A community arts creative production and artist led facilitation project funded by the Cultural Spring for the South Shields Summer Parade 2024. Volunteers and the community at Hebburn Cemetery Tea Rooms came together for a run of workshops to create a boat structure celebrating the history of South Tyneside and the Mid Tyne Ferry.

Community Film Screening and Meal

Funded by The BFI and overseen by Cosmic Cat Films, this community film screening at Tyneside Cinema  of The Old Oak by Ken Loach combined conversation followed by a meal, bringing together people in the North-East directly experiencing diaspora as refugees and asylum seekers.

Move Like A Hadrian

An artist-led project commissioned by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, in partnership with South Tyneside Council, to respond to the collection at Arbeia Roman Fort, in Summer 2022. A group of people of diverse experience, heritage and nationality explored the site engaging in community arts activities influencing an artist film work featured in Arbeia’s 2023 exhibition.

Engagement of a group of young adults in Creative Conversations about Fairness. An artist film presentation and installation of the conversations and ideas was unveiled during Sights and Sounds of Ripon 2022.
